↳ Features Wanted & Product Improvement Suggestions. What am I doing wrong with the HW-150? I searched the instructions and the menu but can't see anywhere to change the recording quality(like you can with a DVD) or any other way to change the size. At that rate, recording a normal 1 hour program would produce a file around 5-6 gigabytes! I can put 4 hours on a 4.7 gig DVD, and my usual one hr satellite box recording is around 750 meg. This time I got just one file but it was still nearly 500 meg in size for just a 5 minute recording. I read thru this forum and found a post about formatting the usb stick as NTFS and tried again. I found 2 files, each around 400-500 megabytes.

My first test, using the 1 gig usb drive I use on the satellite box, was full in just 5 minutes.

The files from my sample/test recordings are huge! I have been recording programs for many years, mostly on a DVD recorder but also on a FTA Satellite box. It was very easy to set up and runs well, with one exception. I have just purchased an HW150-PVR from a local Futureshop store, mainly for its PVR function.
